Overview
Meditation Toolbox is designed with your privacy as a first principle. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. All data generated during your use of the app — including session counts, breath cycles, and gaze calibration — exists only on your device and is never sent to any server.
Camera and Face Tracking
Meditation Toolbox uses your device's front camera and Apple's ARKit face-tracking technology during the Trataka (focused-gazing) practice to detect the direction of your gaze. The app reads only real-time eye-direction values to determine whether your focus has wandered; it does not capture, store, record, or transmit your face, facial geometry, images, or any other biometric data. All processing is performed on-device. No face-related data is shared with third parties.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other identifying information. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or third-party tracking libraries. We do not collect crash reports or usage telemetry. The app functions fully without an internet connection and requires no account or sign-in.
Data Storage
Any preferences or session data you create (such as mala bead counts or breath pattern settings) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Children's Privacy
Meditation Toolbox does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because we collect no data whatsoever, the app is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
